As a couples photographer based in Shreveport, LA, it’s always a joy to capture genuine moments between people who clearly adore each other. Drayton and Kennedy brought that warmth and authenticity to every frame.

 

 

A Beautiful Evening in Shreveport, Louisiana

We chose one of my favorite locations in Shreveport, LA for this shoot—a scenic spot that offers both open natural light and cozy, intimate backdrops. The golden hour light was perfect, casting a soft glow over the entire session and giving their photos that dreamy, romantic feel.

Drayton and Kennedy were so easygoing, up for anything, and trusted my vision from the start. That trust makes all the difference. From sweet forehead kisses to playful in-between moments, the shoot felt relaxed and full of joy—just like their relationship.

 

A Mix of Classic and Candid

What I loved most about this shoot was how well it blended posed portraits with natural, candid moments. We captured some timeless shots that they’ll love for years to come, and we also let the session flow organically so their personalities could shine through.

 

Some standout moments:

• Kennedy laughing at one of Drayton’s jokes—completely unposed and perfect.

• A quiet, emotional moment where they stood forehead to forehead, completely in their own little world.

• That final sun flare shot as the sun dipped behind the trees… pure magic.
